This artwork became special to me — the first after a long break in painting. I wanted to convey a sense of awakening and hope, like the first warm rays of the sun that begin to warm the earth after winter. It’s a moment of transition — from winter to spring, from sleep to awakening, from a pause in creativity to new inspiration. White buds, like the first signs of spring, symbolize renewal, freshness, and the beginning of something new. They dissolve into a warm, vintage surrounding, creating a sense of softness and light carelessness of the moment. Free, slightly rough brushstrokes in the lower part of the painting and on the pot evoke the feeling of wet earth after the cold, while sparse blue accents remind of the sky, ready to scatter the last winter clouds. Several thoughts from the artist: "I sought a way to convey the lightness and naturalness of texture, creating a watercolor effect in oil. I wanted to show the fragility and tenderness of the flowers. The minimalism of color reflects the moment when the cold winter silence still reigns, but the breath of spring is already felt."
